October Board Meeting

Due to ongoing COVID requirements for meetings and a resurgence in virus infections in our area, the scheduled October 15th in-person Fountains Board Meeting is cancelled. An update on items of interest will be sent to homeowners.

Thank you for your patience. We have had at least five Fountains households dealing with COVID, let’s all re-double our efforts to abide by sensible recommended precautions.

Annual Meeting

Due to concerns about the safety of our residents, this year’s annual meeting will be a closed session with only a minimum attendance. The meeting will be during the morning of July 16th at the residence of one of the Board members.

This change does not affect the location or time of any future meeting

NOMINATIONS FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE FOUNTAINS AT RAINTREE
May 18, 2020

The Board of Directors for the Fountains at Raintree is seeking individuals willing to participate on the Fountains board. The term of office is one (1) year. All five board seats are open to any resident wishing to serve on the Board of Directors.

Individuals who would like the opportunity to participate in the management of our neighborhood should send a short introductory statement to Area Real Estate Services NO LATER THAN 5 pm on JUNE 15th. Nominations received by June 15th will be shown on the official ballot which will be distributed along with the written notification of the annual meeting on June 19th, 2020. NO nominations will be accepted after June 15th, and there are no provisions for write-in candidates on the ballot or nominations from the floor at the meeting. The annual meeting will be held at the Raintree Club House on July 16th, 2020 at 7 pm.

Dear Fountains Residents,

As per the Fountains at Raintree Lake Association, Inc. Bylaws, notice is hereby given announcing the 2020 Annual Meeting. The meeting may take place if public meeting are allowed:

July 16, 2020
7 PM CDT
Raintree Clubhouse
825 SW Raintree Dr.
Lee’s Summit, Mo.

If due to public health directives we are prohibited to have public meeting:

  1. All ballots must be mailed
  2. The Board of Directors will hold a meeting July 16, 2020 to conduct normal business and receive tally of votes from Area Real Estate Management.

The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to conduct the annual business of the Association, elect five (5) Board of Directors to the Fountains Association Board, each to serve for a term of one (1) year.

To conduct official annual business a quorum of ten percent (10%) of the members must be present either in person or by voting by return ballot. Property owners will be registered at the door to determine that a quorum is present.

When the ballots are mailed, property owners will have two options for voting and returning ballots:

  1. Complete the enclosed ballots and return in the enclosed pre-printed return envelope to Area Real Estate Management Company, care of Sandy Turner. Mailed ballots must be received no later than July 8th, 2020.
  2. Bring ballots in the sealed enclosed pre-printed envelope to the annual meeting on July 16th, 2020.

Note: Only one vote per resident household is allowed. Any ballot not returned in the pre-printed return envelope will not be included in the voting tabulation.
